Morjim is located in Pernem, North Goa and is famous for its pristine beaches. It is also the home to olive ridley sea turtles, which are now an endangered species. Morjim is bestowed with a green environment and elegant vistas .Several thousand tourists visit this small beach village every year. In fact, many Russians have made it their second home and you can see them on the beaches quite frequently. It is no wonder that the place is also referred as “Little Russia.” Dabolim Airport in Goa is the nearest airport to Morjim

Morjim beach known as the nesting place of the Olive Ridley Sea Turtle which is an endangered species has brought many tourist to this area, also known as the second home of the Russians who have infamously taken over this beach and made it their own. Morjim is located to the South of Ashwem and is the southernmost beach in the Pernem sub district of North Goa.

The Sea Turtles

The Olive Ridley Sea Turtles are an endangered species of turtles that nest on the shores of this beach making it a protected site by the Wildlife Protection Act. This has brought many tourists and locals to this site to see the turtles and the little nests of eggs lying on the beach.

Clubs and Beach Parties

The beach, once known for being quiet and peaceful isn’t the same. Now, Russians arriving here have taken over this tiny part of Goa giving it a new nickname “Little Russia”. Morjim is now known for it thrivin
